Staying at this hotel was an unforgettable experience. The rooms were not only comfortable and beautiful but also large enough to accommodate all four of us comfortably. Plus, having a stove, fridge, and microwave made it even more convenient. However, the dining options left something to be desired. The service, on the other hand, was a mix of sympathy and helpfulness with a slight hint of briskness. The location was a dream come true, being right in the heart of the sassi with stunning views and easy access to great restaurants. Overall, a wonderful stay with just a few minor drawbacks.
Staying at this hotel was truly an unforgettable experience. The rooms, although not part of the hotel and a bit challenging to access like many others carved into the rock, were unique and cozy. The service was exceptional, from the helpful assistance in reaching our destination to the kind gestures like offering to valet our car. The location, right within the heart of Matera in actual cave houses, was physically challenging yet incredibly cool. The dining experience, although lacking some warmth in food choices, offered a good variety and was served in a fascinating cavernous dining room.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean with lovely solid wood furniture, but I encountered a slight hiccup with the hotel not informing us about a service we requested. The location is excellent, right in the historic center, but it was difficult to find with luggage in extreme heat. I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were cozy, built directly into the rock of Sassi di Matera, making for a unique and charming experience. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Sassi di Matera with easy access to restaurants. However, the room was located outside the main building, which was a bit inconvenient.
